Child TherapyThe type of therapy I practice most often is Child Centered Play Therapy. In this evidence-based modality, the therapist utilizes the child's first and most expressive language, play, to establish a therapeutic relationship and work through a number of life challenges. The modality is incredibly respectful of the child's experience, is noninvasive and is very safe. Children tend to pick it up quickly, and often feel empowered in the space. As children begin to transition away from play, I follow them into a trauma-informed, attachment-based approach to talk therapy. Play and creative arts remain readily available to them should they feel compelled to revisit this expression of self.

Caregiver SupportA caregiver's involvement is hugely impactful on a child's outcomes in therapy. When children are able to look to their trusted adults for feelings of safety and security, they are able to face life's challenges with greater resilience.
Beyond the child's experience, I genuinely enjoy and appreciate working with caregivers and parents - your every day commitment to your child is extraordinary. Caregivers come to me with a range of experiences relating to their child's development. I aim to build a trusting, helpful relationship, that we may use as a foundation for insightful conversations, hard questions, and happy dances as we celebrate all the little victories along the way.
